At MoreYoga we’re working with the incredible charities below to help raise funds by donating money from single class sales, running fundraising events, driving awareness and offering the use of our studios for their work.
Take a few minutes to learn more about what they do.
Choose Love does whatever it takes to provide refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats to food and legal advice. We elevate the voices and visibility of refugees and galvanise public support for agile community organisations providing vital support to refugees along migration routes globally. We go where the need is greatest, find the local organisations doing the most effective work, and give them what they need to help people – whether that’s funding, material aid or volunteers.
Our Mission is to make the healing power of yoga accessible to all. We deliver and fund free yoga classes in shelters and community spaces to refugees, survivors of domestic violence, survivors of violence and conflict, and people facing systemic bias due to sexual orientation, income, age, racial or cultural identity. We provide trauma informed yoga teacher training scholarships for marginalised and / or minoritised ethnicity students.
We lead the delivery of the OURMALA studio, community and online beneficiary yoga programme for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Ukraine Appeal: Fierce Calm is providing free yoga and trauma therapy sessions to adults, children and their families in Ukraine. We are also supporting and funding our yoga teachers, studios & partners in the region dedicated to helping those who desperately need our help by co-ordinating and distributing emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothes and trauma resilience / wellbeing training & support in the region to, and alongside, humanitarian agencies in the worst areas in Ukraine.
Yoga Stop Traffick:
Yoga Stops Traffick is an annual campaign uniting yoga practitioners across the globe to take a stand against human trafficking. All funds raised support Odanadi Seva Trust, a pioneering anti-trafficking organisation based in Mysore, South India. Odanadi works for the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of trafficked women and children. For more than 30 years Odanadi has been committed to providing a safe haven for survivors of human trafficking, mainly women and children of all ages from sexual exploitation, slavery and domestic abuse.
We want to help keep this vital work going and show that they have support around the world from the Yoga Community. Help us put Ahimsa in Action and drive awareness to Yoga Stops Traffick. Share your energy by attending a fundraising class, sharing with friends, colleagues & family or by donating. A little goes a long way, even if you donate the cost of a coffee, every donation makes a big difference.
